SECURITY
Please be aware that there are some updates to the UWM-Panther Arena to provide a more secure and safe environment for us to enjoy the event. Upon entering the main entrance, all attendees will be required to pass through metal detectors to enter the event.
For this reason, we are emphasizing the importance of bringing ALL tools that will be needed for the event on Wednesday evening during Load-in.
Any item that could be considered a prohibited item will not be allowed to enter the venue for the remainder of the weekend. Please include everything in your drop off Wednesday night.
LOAD IN / PIT SETUP
LOAD IN
Load-in for the Wisconsin Regional is changing once again due to limited space and constraints at Panther Arena.
The regional planning committee has partnered with MSOE to utilize a parking lot as a holding area, and we are asking teams to:
-
Check-in at MSOE
-
Get a number
-
Wait to be called while hanging out with others from FIRST.
CHECK-IN LOCATION
The location of the parking lot is the corner of State St. and Jackson St. next to the MSOE Walter Schroeder Library.
The easiest way to get to this lot is to take I-94E to I-794E and take the left exit at Exit 1E to N Van Buren St. Follow N. Van Buren St. for approximately 0.5 miles and take a left on State street, and then crossover Jackson St. and take a left into the parking lot. If you are using GPS or Waze and you select Walter Schroeder Library as your destination, please make sure you go to the parking lot behind it.

When you get to the lot, a representative will be at the lot to take your team number, give you your number to place in the dash of your vehicle and find out if you can load from the curbside, or require the parking lot.
Please know this information, because if you cannot unload from the curb and you tell the representative you can, you will be sent back to the parking lot to wait. We have 5 curbside slots and 4 parking lot spaces for loadout (more than last year) so we should be able to get everyone into the building.
The number in the dash will be required to park and unload at the arena, so please do not try and bypass the check-in, you will just be redirected to the State Street parking lot and not allowed to unload.
Please note that you cannot take longer than 15 minutes to unload your vehicle, if you need longer than 15 minutes, unload your vehicle and go park somewhere else, or have a designated driver come back to the state street lot to wait. Our goal is to get all teams loaded in during the two hour window we are provided, so please be gracious to our volunteers and to other teams by expediting your unloading at the venue.
Thank you in advance for following these rules and we look forward to seeing you at the Wisconsin regional!
